Back in elementary school, the administration banned dodgeball at recess, and a large void was left in its wake. To combat/protest this, I created a new game... a game more dangerous and objectionable than dodgeball. I called it "Roadkill". The rules were simple: the swings would all be occupied and each going at different speeds, you would have to try to run right through the middle and avoid being hit; if you made it all the way across, you won (It wasn't a game that was limited to only one winner). Roadkill spread like wildfire through the grades, and soon, all of the students at my school (and I later heard that it had spread to other schools as well) were playing it. We never did get dodgeball back, but at least we were able to give our teachers and the administration a collective heart attack when they discovered Roadkill.
