Pleona Giants

Among the serpentine predators of Pleona, two species literally rise above the rest. Loricata slytherin and Velvi levias are the largest animals to be found on the continent, both species growing to be over 25 meters long (though there have been undocumented reports of even larger individuals). Loricata slytherin dominates the land, while Velvi levias rules the waterways, the two giants able to to coexist by exploiting different domains (encounters like this only occur during times of famine or rarely in Sponge Basins). Remaining unopposed as apex predators, the two serpents have been able to grow to such enormous sizes. The only animals on Epimethius able to even come close to the degree of domination these Pleona giants exercize are their evolutionary Neopiscid cousins that remained in the seas.
