Planktophages

So abundant is plankton in Epimethian waters that an entire class of ichthiids has eveolved to feed exclusively on these tiny organisms. The six mandibles have become elongated and combed, and muscular membranes have evolved to scrape them clean of their harvest and direct the food toward the mouth. This class is also in possession of the largest Epimethian species currently in existance: the titanic Poseidon's Baliid, the longest individual ever recorded being almost 65 meters long and weighing well over 200 Tons.
